Clean Cooking
Environmentally Focused and Friendly
Sustainability is a key part of our success at TSH. We actively incorporate environmentally responsible practices into our daily operations and continuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize our environmental footprint. Whether that’s working with local farmstands or butchers, we truly enjoy keeping it close to home.
Farm to Table
Locally Sourced For Your Event
Timothy S. Hopkins Catering draws inspiration from local, seasonally-available ingredients to create food that is delicious, memorable, and direct from the source. We are true believers in “eating locally.”
We are proud to support the many wonderful farms and businesses in Essex County that provide some of the best-tasting produce and seafood in the world. Eating locally not only means delicious food, it means helping North Shore farmers and fishermen stay in business and by extension, preserving the areas cultural and natural history.

Leaving The World a Better Place
- Our food is purchased locally, when available and in season, from companies and farms that believe in sustainable practices.
- We have a 20-year relationship with Marini Farm in Ipswich.
- We grow our own herbs and some of our vegetables hydroponically in pallet gardens in our kitchen.
- We compost our food scraps. Chef Dave uses the food scraps to feed his chickens, and Chef Greg uses the compost to fertilize his flower and vegetable gardens.
- We practice in-house recycling for all cardboard and plastics.
- At the client’s request, we will facilitate off-site recycling by coordinating pick-up and drop-off of recyclables.
- Our staff is trained in best practices when it comes to recycling and sustainability.
- We encourage the use of traditional glassware, plates, and silverware. If a client would like disposable, biodegradable dinnerware, we can provide it as well.
- We recycle all beverage containers from the bar.
- Our leftover cooking oil is converted into biodiesel.
- Our catering kitchen is fully lit with LED bulbs.
- Net zero emissions are our goal!
